Into the Zombie World

Chapter 24 - Demolition Expert

Waking up after a night of slumber, Nile searches the whole mansion for anything he could salvage.

At the kitchen, he looted another food that takes a longer time to get spoiled. He also manages to loot 1 gallon of water. He stored them all in his Storage Space.

He could also see other kitchen knives and other weapons that could be usable, such as the ladles, spoon, fork, and plates. But Nile did not take them, they will only be a waste of his 2 cubic metres Storage Space.

He plans on buying a weapon that can last him halfway or even on his whole Level One° level from the System Store after all.

Last night, Nile had already considered what he needed to do.

The most important thing would be, as always, to survive. And in order to survive, he needs to get stronger. And to get stronger, he needs lots of Apocalypse Virus.

The plan right now is to go into places that have numerous populations, as that kind of place is guaranteed to have many Level One° zombies. He could use them as a springboard to raise his strength.

There is also a chance that Level Two° or Level Three° zombies might appear at those places. But he had already put it into consideration, such zombies are rare at this point in time.

He also thought of another approach just to survive.

A safe way to survive.

That is to go to a place where there is an unlimited source of water, live his life there and sustain himself with the food harvested from farming.

But after some careful thought, Nile realizes that it is only rather safe at first. That kind of idea is childish.

Because as time went by, more zombies will finish hibernating. More zombies could then level into Level One and more zombies could then develop further.

While he himself will still be stuck at Level One° that time, enjoying his life in his little sanctuary.

When the time comes where zombies that are stronger than him are already a normal occurrence, they might \'coincidentally\' come to his place and kill him with a slap. A slap for his stupidity.

...

His first destination would be the center of Malibo Village. Malibu Village will be 30 minutes of walking from where he is right now. Along the way, he could kill zombies and harvest some Apocalypse Points.

While searching the small mansion, at the garage, he saw 2 cars, 3 motorcycles and 5 bicycles, 1 pick up and 1 SUV vehicle, 1 off-road motorcycle, 1 motorcycle that has the style of a Harley Davidson, 1 big bike motorcycle, 2 mountain bikes, 2 leisure bikes, and one BMX bike.

Nile took the bicycle. As with this, he would no longer need to worry about gasoline.

This vehicle will also not produce any clamorous sound. Even though he is not afraid of lower levelled zombies, what if a \'passing\' Level Three° zombie suddenly pounces on him because he is driving a loud Harley-Davidson motorcycle? Well, the motorcycle that looks like a Harley Davidson did have a customized muffler exhaust.

Nile points at the BMX bike and says. \'I choose you\'

He did not like the tall mountain bike and the shining luxury bikes. He preferred to be low key by choosing the BMX bike.

...

After 30 or more minutes, Nile arrived at the periphery of Malibo Village. The houses are crowded, but not by much. He could see black smoke rising in the distance.

Nile arrives here in 30 minutes as he kills some wandering zombies along the way.

Even his total Apocalypse Point did not increase by much, but totalled with the harvest he got at those houses and that one Level One° zombie. His total Apocalypse Point is now at 34.5.

Niles current stats profile looks like this.

Host: Nile

Level One°

Will: 6.55

Body: 6.05

Strength: 6.05

Energy: 6.05(5.998)

Talent:

Level One° Weapons Master

A.P.: 34.5

L.P.(Level Points): 0

Killing Level Zero° zombies and half-step zombies no longer gives him an increase on stat points. As for the Level One° zombies, they only give an increase of 0.05 stats. An increment of stats above Level One° even with only a decimal point can make a big disparity in the battle.

Nile still had a long way to go. He still had hundreds and hundreds of zombies to be slaughtered.

...

Before entering the very center of Malibo, Nile implemented what he had learned from before and was very careful.

While still sitting on the BMX bike, Nile browses through the System Weapon\'s Store.

Disregarding the very first items on the list. Nile scrolled down and noticed that he could not afford the last Top 10 weapons of the list. He reluctantly settled at the middle part of the list and made a choice after much consideration.

[Level One° SledgeHammer- An excellent hammer used to smash some things. Want to become a demolition expert? A sledge hammer is what you need. A Level One° weapon at the middle phase.

/30 A.P.

]

[Level One° Sledge Hammer.

Confirm?

30 Apocalypse Points will be deducted.

[Yes/No]

]

\'Yes.\' Nile muttered silently.

After the confirmation, a sledge hammer appears in the corner of his Storage Space.

Nile thinks of retrieving it and the hammer immediately appears on his right hand.

On his right hand was a long sledge hammer. Its head has the color of black, while its handle has the color of wood. It has two faces (this is the flat surface that is used to strike) that is in a circular shape. Its head is a little curve inside, forming a wide C or an open parenthesis. Its cheek has a little bulge on the side. The handle was 1 meter long, with the grip occupying almost half of it. Its grip also fits perfectly with his hands.

By Niles estimate, this sledgehammer weighs no less than 500 pounds. With Niles current strength, lifting 1000+ lbs would not be a problem. Nile could probably lift up to 1500lbs at most at the moment.

The 500 pounds sledge hammer is fit for his current strength requirement. Not too light and nor was it too heavy.

He can swing the heavy hammer easily while still having room for some maneuver.

Accompanied by his Weapons Master Talent, and although the Weapons Master is not a specific talent for a weapon, this could still make the already deadly, heavy sledge hammer to be even more deadly.

Because of the heaviness of Nile plus the sledge hammer\'s weight, it causes the BMX bike rim and tyre to be deformed. This also caused Nile to be startled a bit, causing him to be off balance falling down with the bike.

Nile immediately stands up as if nothing has happened. He kicked the bike to the side, started walking to the center while carrying the sledgehammer over his shoulder.

While walking, Nile said in an inaudible voice.

"Wrecker company is here, affordable demolition expert for hire!"
