Chapter 450 Conflict Upon Water

Chapter 450 Conflict Upon Water

"Tch!" Warktor clicked his tongue, observing the luck values of everyone around him.

He was capable of siphoning the Luck of everyone around him. Thanks to that, he was also able to sense the variations in their luck in real-time.

And through that, he noticed that the luck of Grisha, Xuer, and Ranze began to sharply increase all of a sudden while his and Chenger\'s luck plummeted almost immediately.

Warktor took action immediately, siphoning the luck from a nearby cultivator to recover some of his luck.

"Wha? What is this?" The cultivator screamed in shock when he had a lapse of judgement, suddenly causing his boat to crash into a nearby boat. The crash cracked their boats, rapidly reducing their speed, not to mention making them feel light-headed.

The two boats were slowly, but surely sinking into the sea.

Of course, it was because the luck of both had been sucked dry by Warktor.

Still, it wasn\'t enough for him to recover the value that he had lost, thinking, \'Just what have they done to create this scenario?\'

Right as he was thinking as such, a marine Origin Beast leaped out of the water, intending to slam into his boat.

Warktor snapped his finger in response as a red streak slammed into the Origin Beast, the impact itself sending it flying back by a couple of metres. It fell into the water as soon after, the seawater was dyed crimson by its blood.

It didn\'t surface after that, obviously having been killed by him in one hit.

Immediately after, three Origin Beasts leaped onto him, the same as before. But, Warktor wasn\'t even in the least concerned, flicking three fingers as three red streams formed in the air, swatting the three Origin Beasts away.

Surprisingly, all three of them died in that one hit.

Warktor then waved his hand, sending two red streaks into the water, raising a lot of mist in response as the water was vaporised. He had targeted the Origin Beast that intended to slam into his boat from below, killing it.

\'Hmm, my luck is still continuing to drop. It means that this is far from over.\' He frowned, causing his boat to accelerate as he moved closer to another cultivator, siphoning his luck too.

"Ahh!" That cultivator screamed as an Origin Beast slammed into his boat while trying to aim for Warktor, toppling him into the water. He was then ganged up by a group of Origin Beasts, devoured with no room to resist.

His attacks were casually dispersed in the water as the Origin Beasts simply swarmed him to death in a matter of seconds.

Warktor observed his death, thinking, \'Indeed, there\'s something odd here. Based on what I\'m sensing, Compass Carburettor has something to do with this. Only he\'s able to affect my luck to such an extent.\'

"Xuer!" Ranze whispered, moving his boat closer to Xuer\'s, "Don\'t attack Chenger."

"Why?" Xuer frowned, for she was indeed about to attack Chenger. After seeing the Origin Beasts suddenly targeting Warktor, she realised that Compass Carburettor had already taken action. And since he was targeting them through water, then if she attacked through the air using her Ice Crane Puppets, it would create a pincer attack.

There was also Grisha that could teleport them some boats if they were to lose theirs in the conflict.

"Do you see how only Warktor\'s being targeted?" Ranze said, "It means Hazen has judged that there\'s no possibility of killing Chenger in this situation. So, he\'s only focusing on Warktor. We\'ll also do the same. Avoid Chenger."

"Alright." Xuer nodded as she brought out five Ice Crane Puppets, causing them to move high up in the air before they began to rain down ice spikes onto Warktor, targeting his boat. If his boat was destroyed, he wouldn\'t be able to escape and would be swarmed to death by the marine Origin Beasts.

In response to her attacks, Warktor condensed a spinning disc above him, one that seemed to be made from molten metal.

As the ice spikes slammed into it, they were vaporised.

Xuer frowned, observing in detail to see that her ice spikes vaporised before even coming into contact with the spinning disc. It signified its high temperature.

Snorting in response, Xuer brought out three more Ice Crane Puppets, causing them to circle around and aim at Warktor\'s sides.

Warktor snorted, creating two more spinning discs that revolved around him, blocking the ice spikes launched from various angles.

Boom!

Suddenly, Xuer increased the rate of her attacks, causing him to focus more on defending against her when a marine Origin Beast leaped out of the water, targeting him.

Warktor attacked it in reflex, but as he was focused more on stopping Xuer, his attack wasn\'t strong enough to kill it, allowing it to slam into the boat, damaging it.

The speed of his boat slowed down rapidly in response as Xuer took the chance to rain down more ice spikes on him.

"Hmm, this boat is done for." Muttering in response, Warktor leaped out of the boat, landing on the water as he raised a lot of steam instantly. After all, between the soles of his feet and the water surface was a spinning disc radiating with tremendous heat.

The heat vaporised the water upon contact, generating enough steam that balanced his weight, preventing him from drowning, and allowing Warktor to run on the water surface.

He rapidly rushed forward, raising the temperature of the heat discs when necessary to create more steam, propelling himself towards a nearby boat.

Luck Siphon!

He directly stole the opponent\'s luck, unleashing a red stream that killed him in two hits, leaping into the air to land on the boat. With the original occupant killed, it wouldn\'t drown if he were to land on it, after all, he planned to kick out the corpse immediately after landing.

But, a second before his feet touched the boat, Grisha\'s figure appeared them as she plunged her knife into the boat before vanishing.

She didn\'t do anything else but just turned his endeavour useless. For, the boat he just claimed had begun to sink into the water.
